Trip to Venice

The trip to Venice was one of the biggest trips in Ardgillan in 2025. It had 64 students on it, me included. The weather during the trip was quite poor, however that was counteracted by the great itinerary that Mr. Walsh had planned for us.

The first day involved going to Venice where we got a walking tour and some free time. Venice is a city built on a swampland that has no roads in it at all; all residents walk and use water-taxis to commute around the city. It even has a train-like network of these boats that act as the city's public transport.

The second day involved a trip to Lake Garda and spending some free time in Sirmione, a medieval town in the region. Lake Garda is a large lake in the North of Italy that is known for the beautiful views you can see from it, and the trip there definitely showcased the views you can see!

The third day involved a trip to Gardaland for the enitre day, with lots of free time, letting us do whatever we wanted. The rides there were very intense and there was a lot for everybody to enjoy there. There were plenty of other things to do in the park. such as restaurants and carnival games.

Finally, the last day we checked out of the hotel and went to Verona to see Romeo and Juliet's balcony as well as some free time in the area. After that we went to the airport and flew home
